Moto G Available From Amazon Now, Ships December 4th

The Moto G, Motorola‘s latest venture into the lower-end of smartphones, has garnered itself a lot of attention since its announcement a few weeks ago. While there are obviously still gripes with the average specifications of the Android smartphone, the one resounding approval from multiple sources is that the Moto G performs a lot better than its price tag suggests. If you’re looking to pick one of them up before Christmas, and you have some inherent prejudice against Motorola’s own storefront, you’ll be happy to know that the Moto G is now available on Amazon.

There is no difference in pricing between Amazon and the Motorola Mobility site: the 8GB version is still $179 and the 16GB comes in at $199. Interestingly though, the version featured on Amazon appear to only compatible with U.S. networks only; there are Global GSM compatible variants also available from Motorola which ensures that the handset will work outside of America. If you are buying from within the States, however, you do also get the added bonus of free shipping.
