Instagram Now on Windows Phone 8

Posted by Unknown Selasa, 26 November 2013 0 komentar

Social photo sharing network Instagram is now available on the Windows Phone 8 platform.

Instagram, as well as Waze, the crowd-source traffic and navigation app, are downloadable on all Nokia Lumia devices in the UK from Thursday.

Microsoft has also released a whole host of figures which show that although the platform is a long way behind Apple and Android, it has been showing modest growth since the launch of Windows Phone 8.

According to TechCrunch,

Windows Phone has so far seen three billion application downloads, which is still a long way off iOS’s more than 60 billion aggregate downloads.

Since the release of Windows Phone 8 “monthly paid app revenue” has increased by 181 per cent, and in the past year app downloads have almost trebled.

Bank of England Introduces Its own shameless app, Showing Piles Of Gold

Wealth. Big stinking masses of it. That's what the Bank of England is letting you get a glimpse of through its own official app. A panoramic tour gives a scrollable view of an unspecified number of gold bars, each weighing in at 13kg and -- more importantly -- worth around £350,000 ($528,000).
(But hey, at least the app is free.) The Bank of England houses 400,000 of them in total, although most are actually owned by other banks. Those looking to channel the lifestyle of Scrooge McDuck can take the tour on both iOS and Android.

I could as well create an App given you a tour of my toilet.
